Hotel Hartness in Greenville has been included in Travel + Leisure’s annual list of the top 100 hotels worldwide.
Prestigious Global Acknowledgment
The publication’s 2024 “It List” highlights 100 hotels that have opened or undergone significant renovations in the past year. Hotel Hartness, which began welcoming guests in February 2023, is the only hotel in South Carolina to make this year’s list.
Selection Criteria and Process
According to Travel + Leisure, editors and contributors evaluated hundreds of properties across the globe, considering factors such as service, design, location, and overall guest experience. The final selections represent a diverse range of accommodations, from urban hotels to remote resorts.
Hotel Hartness Features
Located on Greenville’s east side, Hotel Hartness is situated on a 444-acre estate. The property features 73 guest rooms, a spa, and the on-site restaurant Patterson Kitchen + Bar. The hotel is part of the Hartness community, a residential development established on the Hartness family estate.
Industry and Community Response
In a statement, Hotel Hartness General Manager Tom Shull expressed appreciation for the recognition, stating, “We are honored to be included among such distinguished properties and proud to represent Greenville and South Carolina on this global stage.”
