A new upscale Japanese dining establishment is scheduled to open its doors in Old Metairie, bringing a fresh culinary option to the area.
Restaurant Details and Location
The forthcoming restaurant, named Yakuza House, will be located at 3000 Severn Ave. in Old Metairie. The venue is expected to begin operations later this year, according to the owners.
Ownership and Culinary Vision
Chef Huy Pham, who previously operated Yakuza House in Metairie, is behind the new venture. Pham stated that the new location will offer an expanded menu, including omakase-style dining, which allows the chef to select dishes for guests. The restaurant aims to provide a refined Japanese dining experience, with a focus on fresh seafood and seasonal ingredients.
Design and Atmosphere
The interior of the new Yakuza House will feature a modern design with traditional Japanese influences. The space will accommodate approximately 60 guests and include a dedicated sushi bar. The owners indicated that the restaurant’s layout is intended to create an intimate and welcoming environment for diners.
Opening Timeline
Renovations at the Severn Avenue location are currently underway. The owners anticipate that Yakuza House will open to the public by late summer or early fall, though an exact date has not been announced.
