IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to introduce its luxury lifestyle brand, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, to Qatar for the first time. The company will open Kimpton Doha, marking the brand’s entry into the country, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
Kimpton Doha to Open in Lusail
The new Kimpton Doha will be located in the city of Lusail, a key urban development situated north of Doha. The hotel is expected to feature 201 rooms and suites, along with a range of dining options and amenities. The property will also offer meeting spaces, a fitness center, and a spa.
Expanding IHG’s Presence in the Region
IHG’s decision to bring Kimpton to Qatar is part of the company’s broader strategy to expand its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the Middle East. Haitham Mattar, Managing Director for India, Middle East & Africa at IHG Hotels & Resorts, stated, “We are delighted to partner with our stakeholders to introduce the Kimpton brand to Qatar, further strengthening our presence in the region.”
