Marriott International has announced the addition of the Kapalua Bay property in Maui to its St. Regis Hotels & Resorts brand. This move marks a significant expansion of the St. Regis portfolio, which is known for its luxury accommodations and personalized service.
The Kapalua Bay resort, located on Maui’s northwest coast, is set to undergo a comprehensive renovation before reopening under the St. Regis flag. Marriott stated that the transformation will focus on enhancing guest experiences while preserving the property’s distinctive Hawaiian character.
“We are excited to welcome Kapalua Bay to the St. Regis family,” said George Fleck, Vice President and Global Brand Leader for St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. “This iconic destination aligns perfectly with our brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional luxury and bespoke service.”
The resort features 24 acres of oceanfront land, offering views of the Pacific Ocean and neighboring islands. Amenities include multiple swimming pools, a spa, and access to two championship golf courses. The planned renovation will update guest rooms, public spaces, and dining venues, according to Marriott.
The addition of Kapalua Bay is part of Marriott’s broader strategy to expand its luxury presence in key leisure destinations. St. Regis currently operates more than 50 hotels worldwide, with several new properties scheduled to open in the coming years.
Further details regarding the renovation timeline and reopening date have not yet been disclosed. Marriott indicated that updates will be provided as the project progresses.
